The Rich Past and the Exciting Future of Arlington Chiropractic Clinic PC

It was shortly before the 3 o'clock bell on December 1, 1958. It was the beginning of one of the worst school fires in US history, and the worst in Chicago history.

Gerald Andreoli, age 13, received burns over 30% of his body which left him in the hospital for 3 ½ months. In July 1959, after receiving months of out-patient therapy, he visited the longest surviving hospital fire victim, Irene Mordarski, who would be the last to be released. She suffered severe burns, as well as a hip fracture from falling out of the 2-story school building. She was released on July 9, 1959, after over 7 months of hospitalization. Although the Our Lady of Angels school fire took the lives of 97 students and 3 nuns, it was a tragedy that brought Gerald & Irene together permanently. They married in 1967, had 4 children, and currently enjoy 10 grandkids.

As part of their recovery, they both visited a family chiropractor in their neighborhood, where Gerald became interested in the profession and subsequently attended National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL, and received his doctor's degree in 1972.

The first Arlington Chiropractic Clinic PC office was opened in 1973 on Campbell St. in Arlington Hts, IL. Their 2 daughters were born during this time, Katrina, who ultimately learned her master's degree in nutrition, and Christa, becoming a chiropractic physician in 1997, the second doctor in the Andreoli family. Two sons followed, both becoming medical doctors, one an internist, and the other a nephrologist, both practicing in Denver, Colorado.

Dr. Gerald Andreoli, who retired in 2017, practiced for over 45 years, until he passed along the family business to Dr. Christa Andreoli. Dr. Christa and Trina together developed exciting plans for a new modern facility with state-of-the-art equipment, new furnishings and electronic operations, while maintaining the 50-year tradition of the family-owned business.

Honesty, integrity and efficacy remain the steady hallmarks of the practice, as originally defined by its founder. Dr. Christa and Trina are greatly improving upon the physical makeup, as well as the procedures, technology and efficiency of the clinic. Dr. Christa declares "We enjoy seeing, and take pride in continuing to help our long-standing patients, and welcome referrals of new patients in need."

The new modern facility was opened on Thomas St. in August 2024.
